Whiteland Engineering Ltd. is a family-owned company based in North Devon, boasting 70 years of expertise in subcontract machining services. Our extensive machining capabilities enable us to work with a variety of materials, including steel, aluminium, stainless steel, assorted alloys, bronze, brass, and many others.


In recent years, we have enhanced our array by upgrading several Hurco CNC machining centres from 3-axis to 5-axis capabilities. This advancement has empowered us to execute 3D machining and effectively manage ergonomic shapes, positioning Whiteland Engineering Ltd. at the forefront of technological innovation which allows us to compete on price, delivery, and quality. We are a one stop shop - 'You Design it, We Make it' service enables everyone to access our capabilities.


Our latest addition is the Mazak “CNC Turning Centre with Multi-Tasking Capability.” This cutting-edge equipment boosts productivity and shortens lead times while our new CNC machines are equipped with state-of-the-art part probing and laser probing technology.


Whiteland Engineering Ltd. prides itself on its expertise in CNC Milling, CNC Turning, CNC Grinding, Cylindrical Grinding, and Prototrak Milling. Our recent investments include a XYZ VMC 5x as well as a Prototrak SMX5000 Bed Mill (with dimensions of 1,500mm x 596mm x 584mm or 59” x 23.5” x 23”) and a Proturn RLX 780 Lathe (featuring a 560mm swing, 1,750mm centres, and a 780mmØ face plate) which have been added over the last two years. We now offer protective treatments such as Hot Chemical Blacking, Aqua Blasting and Powder Coating which we can supply as a stand alone service, a Wire EDM for cutting complex shapes and splitting components and precision laser marker to aid with storing and tracibility.


Our highly skilled machinists and toolmakers excel in not just high-precision CNC machining but also manual milling, turning, and grinding, which we offer alongside our CNC services.
